About the web
RedTransporte is a personal project designed to integrate and unify the existing information about the public transport in the main regions of Spain under a common and easy to use interface.
The goal of this site is to help users to easily reach all the information about maps, timetables, routes, etc... for free and as an additional way besides the existing official web sites made by goverments, administrations and public transport companies.
Our job is driven to encourage the use of public transport in main cities in order to improve the mobility there; retrieve and unify all the existing information and make it public for the subway, train and buses users.
About the author
RedTransporte is the result of the job of different public transport's users living in several cities across Spain that have put all their effort in developing a better site every day, trying to encourage the use of public transport by this mean.
The original project Alcobuses was born in the area of Alcobendas and San Sebastian de los Reyes, two cities placed 20 km north from Madrid, and kept growing until covering the whole Madrid region area and cities. After a while, the project became part of the global site RedTransporte which currently works with the main cities and regions of Spain.
